Tuition and Tuition Assistance

Tuition at VCA ranges from $6,199 for Pre-Kindergarten to $12,894 for 12th Grade for the 2016-2017 school year.  Please call (828-681-0546) or email our Admissions Director for exact tuition for the specific grade in which you are interested.

Veritas Christian Academy recognizes that the costs of Christian education are substantial and that some families who would benefit from it may not have adequate resources.  The primary purpose of the VCA Tuition Assistance Program is to provide tuition assistance to those families who, without such assistance, would be unable to send their children to VCA. We do not offer a multiple-child discount due to the fact that having more than one child does not ensure that a family needs assistance in order to attend VCA.  All assistance granted is based solely on the determination of financial need.

Families seeking tuition assistance must complete the admissions process before they apply for assistance.  After being accepted into Veritas, an application must be filed with FACTS, an independent financial-aid management organization.  FACTS provides VCA a need-based financial aid analysis service which ensures that our process for establishing financial need adheres to nationally established standards of best practice.  Families must report all sources of income; failure to disclose income may result in the loss of tuition assistance.  All information from FACTS is kept confidential, as is all information pertaining to a family's tuition assistance request.  Tuition assistance is awarded based solely on the family's calculated need, and up to 50% of the tuition may be awarded (The 50% cap does not apply to Faculty and Staff members).  Funds are made available to current Veritas families first and are awarded to new incoming families if they are still available after all current families have re-enrolled.  Please note that assistance is given for one year only, and therefore families must reapply each year.

The receipt of tuition assistance carries with it the responsibility to achieve minimum standards of academic success.  Upper School students receiving tuition assistance must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.  Lower School students receiving tuition assistance must achieve an overall end-of-year average of C (70 points) in core subjects.   Failure to maintain these grade levels at the end of the academic year will result in the loss of financial aid for the subsequent year.
